Centre of Excellence  2025

Message from the CEO.

Manly Warringah is home to a vibrant community, offering residents a healthy, active lifestyle, and boasting a history rich in sporting achievement.

Community Owned and Not for Profit Manly Warringah Gymnastic Club (MWGC) is at the very heart of this community. Since starting in 1978 with just 6 members, MWGC has gone from strength to strength to now be recognised as the No1 Women’s and Men’s Gymnastics Club in Australia.

Boasting a membership of more than 1,500 members from 50+ postcodes, the club delivers more than 200 recreational and competitive classes each week.

Multi -time winner of Club of the Year titles and 2023 Women’s and Men’s National Champion Club, MWGC is renowned as a leader in gymnastics. With 10 athletes currently training at world levels, the Northern Beaches has a strong chance of soon seeing one of its own gymnasts in an Olympic or Commonwealth Games medal position.

We invite you to join us on our most ambitious transformation yet!

By becoming a donor or sponsor of this project your support will be clearly displayed on our wall of recognition to be seen by more than 300,000 visitors each year. As the facility is located on a main road and in a prominent position, securing naming rights would open an opportunity to be seen by more 28,000 passing cars each day.

We have lodged our plans to build the $10.3m Centre of Excellence (COE). Work will begin in February 2024 and the new club will be operational in April 2025. It will really put the Northern Beaches on the map for sporting excellence! The 3,750 m2 world class state-of-the art gymnastics and multi-sport facility will deliver programs 15 hours each day - 7 days a week, including publicly accessible sports medicine and rehab, strength and conditioning recreational and elite opportunities for all athletes engaged in sports with an aerial component. It will also be home to competition events, coaching education, community social activities and a great café linking to the District Park sports fields.

With 60% of the funding already secured, we need your help to fund the remaining $4.3m.

With your generous support, we can create a world-class facility that benefits the community and future generations. Join us on this journey to build the dream and build a bright future for thousands more young people.

Please take the time to review the extensive range of sponsor and donor packages available and become a key player in this exciting community opportunity.
