What type of gymnast are you?

MWGC Gymnast

At MWGC gymnasts are placed in the most age and skill-appropriate class to ensure each child is comfortable and physically challenged to develop their skills. We recommend starting in our recreation program before choosing specialty classes like tumbling or trampoline.

Competitive

Team Gym

Team Gym

Team Gym combines parts of tumbling, mini tramp and dance to create an exciting team competition event for groups of six to twelve members. Competitions are structured to encourage teamwork and collaboration with three sections: Artistic and Acrobatic Floor, Tumbling, and Vaulting/Mini Trampoline. Athletes compete ‘in-stream’ and depending on individual strengths, not everyone needs to perform on every apparatus.

Competitive Tumbling

Competitive Tumbling

Taking your tumbling to the next level? Tumbling, also known as power tumbling, is an acrobatic sport combining speed, rhythm and height conducted on a 25-meter-long sprung track.

Tumbling combines the exciting aspects of an artistic gymnastics floor routine with the dynamics of trampoline skills. Our Competitive Tumbling program is for those looking to take their skills to the next level.

Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG)

Men’s Artistic Gymnastics MAG

Men’s Artistic Gymnastics combines speed, strength, power and flexibility with tumbling and acrobatic skills, all performed with an emphasis on style. Superhuman strength is displayed as gravity is challenged and limits of physics are pushed in six separate events: Floor, Pommel Horse, Still Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars and High or Horizontal Bar. The physique of an elite male gymnast says it all – years of hard work and dedication.

MWGC Tumbling

Women’s Artistic Gymnastics WAG

Women’s Artistic gymnastics is a discipline of gymnastics in which athletes perform short routines (ranging from about 30 to 90 seconds) on different apparatuses. There are 4 apparatus: Floor, Bars, Vault and Beam.

The competitive WAG program is built from our foundation groups by inviting children from our general recreational programs.
