OUR HISTORY
In 1978 three local families: The Marsh's; Cullen's and Ferguson's, identified a need for a gymnastics club on the Northern Beaches. Alongside Coach Ian Clayton, the group formed Warringah Artistic Gymnastics Club, which was for girls only.
They formed the club as a not-for-profit to ensure the club was for the community, by the community. It began as a set-up/pack-down at the Forest High School gymnasium. As the club grew and added a boy's program, the club moved to Allambie Heights School Community Centre which remained a set-up/pack-down facility. Over the years the name changed to Manly Warringah Gymnastics Club (MWGC) and the club found it's first full-time home in 1999 at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, in Allambie Heights.
Today, Manly Gymnastics has expanded to be one of the largest facilities in NSW boasting a number of Australian athletes and incredible competition results.
